Last ball victory

Finally ! Those who are close to me and matter, know what I am talking about, those who dont have a clue, have probably been so out of touch with my situation that it really doesnt make a difference. Anyway a long-bloddy battle has come to an end, or at least a temporary truce. Its only a small temporary arrangement like a bandage is to a bleeding wound, good enough for the time being but not a permanent solution. Saves life, will do for the time being.I am not complaining.
It was a very frustrating period for me,perhaps my blogs indicate the same.But like Steve Waugh, my hero, who fought till the bitter end in hopeless situaitions, so did I. I think the resoluteness helped.How you end matters, not how you start ! Perhaps its true that its not talent but determination that is the the most important attribute. I will never know because I always envy talented people, who seem to have everything laid out for them, but not unsurprisingly they seem to lack the perseverance aspect. I think god balances everything, giving one in abundance and supplying partly the other.I think the past one year introduced me to some of my strengths and made me aware of glaring weaknesses. I made it just in the nick of time, with not much to spare. For that I am grateful.

Have you ever felt that ...?

....When you try to do things the right way you end up consuming enourmous amounts of resources with respect to time money and energy with no gurantee of a favorable result. On the contrary, you see/hear about folks, all around you, who seem to have taken an apparent short-cut to the same end and things have worked for them. Somehow you cant quite take the plunge like they did.
....The more you go after something, the more distant it appears to be.Just keeps slipping away and away and seems like a mirage in the Sahara.
....Intense Desperation ? Desperation to get life moving and lead the life you thought you would just around a year ago ? The desperation and the hope of things working to a plan ?
....Sometimes what you go after may not even be the best thing for you ? You have just shut off other options or maybe have become blind to them
....Grateful feeling for having good pals who keep hearing encouraging you with statements to the effect "Whatever Happens happens for the good" when in reality, you and they both know that the game is almost up!!
